It may have been your idea but you didn't help in the creation of the map. So technically it's his map because he modeled it but inspired by you.

not true. If he officially stated that he signs credit over to Donut, then Donut gets the credit (like a will, where the true owner says someone else is entitled to something. Only he isn't dead).

Besides, if it was Donuts idea, he is entitled to a amount of credit. Though he still didn't do any actual work.

Oh, and, i can't see the pwnage. The picture's link is broken.

i wouldn't call those overhead structures necesarry. I am unaware of the scale of this map. I presume the Purple planes are to be water. Tanks might go good at the bottom, as well as warthogs, or artillery/armored vehicles.

If you give the map the necesarry airspace and, i would suggest incorporating architecture to stop air vehicles. Outjuts on the side of the bridge platform could make good landing spots for Hornets and the like.

I suggest making it very open and wide spaced, so that vehicles can well rome the bottom, and making sure air vehicles have some dominance both over the bridge and being un-cramped enough for it to do some business under the bridge.

Turrets. I don't see them enough, they might go good here. I think you should make sure vehicles can't get up to the bridge where there isn't room for them.

If i ever make maps, youve given me inspiration, but i can't think of background for the map.

Its all up to you. All of it. Just figured i'd give my Twenty-Five cents. Which i think everyone is entitled to, as i don't believe 2 cents is enough.

EDIT:

I just noticed you named it the valley, meaning it isn't all an artificial structure. That gives more interesting design.

Proper credit will always be given. My map can build but I need it to be textured. I have the textures but don't know how to apply them. Anyone up for it?

i wish.

At first i expected the current off-white color to take dominance. Then i expected it to be somewhat featureless, but neat and not crumbling. The roof would be built into the top of a mesa or something and ould be curved latices of the building material.

Its a valley, so thats more interesting. I figure its cliff walls and such with the tunnels built in and the dams artificial.

Oh I know you! I can probably apply the textures for you, it's not that hard. Or atleast I can give you a link to a tutorial that says how. I think I will do the second: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2664 It is somewhere in that tutorial. It is in about every mapping tutorial, actually.

Aaah. It's come a long way. Given up modeling it yourself I see.

I think the creator of the map is whoever came up wit the idea for it and recruited people to help, even if most or all of the map is done by other people. If you agree to build a map for someone, or part of it, it's still theirs but they should give you credit for you're work.

If you can't tell in the picture, the bottom part is a natural valley with hills and stuff, but the sides have artificial structures.

It looks to me like there are 2 big dams on either end holding back the water, which would make the "valley" a dry river bed. You could name it something related to dams or water. Maybe it's a forerunner hydro processing or hydro power facility?

How high poly is it?

I could name it River. Have to see if that was ever made here. It's considerablly low poly because it was made in Wings 3ds. A simple version of 3ds max that is free.

It reminds me of Colossus. Also, the picture doesn't work.
