what the script that hes using/talking about? coz my dormant script thread makes no sense (well kinda a bit of sense) to me. all i want is a script that makes a certain ai encounter spawn when i walk through a centain trigger volumn. and the pause command? once again no sense. =I

Just set it, likely in Geurilla, to not spawn at start. Then spawn some when you enter the trigger volume.

ok so i get what ur saying, would the script look like this?
encounter:enc1_flood
trigger volumn:ai1
script:

(script startup floody
(sleep_until (volume_test_objects ai1 (players)) 1)
(ai_place enc1_flood)
)

i dont need commands or anything else?
just the encounter, script, and trigger volumn? sry ive being asking this all day but this is a must if im going to complete this map

Essentially, yes.
On a sidenote, I love the names you give your scripts
Oh, btw, you can set them to be not automatically created in Sapien. Just go to the properties thing and check not automatically created
