It will always say "Couldn't read map file 'toolbeta.map'" you can ignore it. You have to rename the scenario file if you don't want it to overwrite existing maps.

Then you typed it wrong, make sure the name does not have any spaces. If it does rename it before you try it in tool.

Tool like all the HEK programs are directory specific and assume your tags are located in the folder : C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags Here is an example of a build-cache file command: tool.exe build-cache-file levels\test\tutorial\tutorialThe scenerio is located in the folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tags\levels\test\tutorial The scenerio name is: tutorial.scenario See: Running a Game Level in Halo http://hce.halomaps.org/hek/references/level_design/mp_level_design/mp_ld_level_running_in_game.htmlThe example is taken right out of the tutorial.

Map names can't have spaces. Try using an underline or something.
