I know that this has been probly disscused many times before, but i have no idea how to open console. ive read dennis's article on how to open console,but even my dad who know tons about computers does not get it. it says to press ~ to open console on the halo opening screen,and ive tried that.call me stupid all you want but I still wont know how to open it. please respond.

change the language settings used by your keyboard, i bet you that's the problem

oh yea if this helps I have windows 2000 duel process. lauguage settings? ill ask my dad....

...............do you mean when you left click on halo and the screen that pops up and you and the*-console* in an certain place? I think I have heard of that....so I just add it in that place and then pressing ~ on the startup screen will open console?
