A week or two ago, I tried to host a dedicated sever. It was on snowgrove.
I hosted a game with 8 people allowed (my internet is high speed bell south DSL) When 7/8 people joined, they did fine. Then when the 8th joined, everyone lagged, and even after they quit, the sever continued to lag. I changed it to 7 people. 6/7 join, it does fine. 7/7 join, same thing. THEN I put it down to 6. 5/6 was fine, 6/6, everyone lagged again!
What's happening, and how do I fix it? This happened a bit after halo v1.08 came out, and my dedi-sever was patched.
The dedi sever was on a router, on a PC with a celeron @ 2.7ghz, 256 RAM, and intel 82845g integrated.
I was playing on a pc with an intel core duo e4500, 8600gt, 2gb ram, and It was getting it's wireless internet connection from the router hosting the sever. Edited by madkiller92 on Sep 1, 2008 at 02:36 PM

I started a dedicated server and can't connect to it This only applies if you are running the server on the same PC as you are running the client game I'm NOT running on the same PC, and I CAN connect. For some reason, ONLY when the last person joins and fills the game, people can't stop lagging. Edited by madkiller92 on Sep 1, 2008 at 07:20 PM
