Well, who doesn't love a good custom vehicle. A balanced war machine that does what the maker wants it to. Well i have vehicles i want to create as well but something i like to notice of is the technical name of the vehicle. For Example, the M808B "Scorpon" MBT.
What i am talking about is what preciely the various parts of the technical name mean for the people who put them in. Sure it can be left a mystery, but if you want to put it in you ought to know what you are putting in. Some names are just random. Sometimes even a completely thought through name requires randomized parts. For example, it is known that the MBT in M808B "Scorpon" MBT means Main Battle Tank. Then we get to the M808B. Regardless of what the name actually means, i have come to believe it stands for Model 808B. And then, i have come to think that the alphanumerical model number 808B is randomized, within reasonable limits.
So a vehicle i want to create has been given a proper name within this fashion. It is the M624C "Scorpion Hellfire" BLMP
The first section is the same as was for the Scorpion. Model 624C is rather randomly generated. Scorpion Hellfire is a unofficial nickname because it is a cousin to the M808B, while Hellfire shows the difference between it and the basic model scorpion. BLMP, though while more convoluted than MBT, stands for Blind Light Missile Platform.
Because it is my design, and i have yet to create it, i cannot give out the technical specifications for it. But these names go beyind tanks. They go to all vehicles, out into weapons and turrets. Anything you ca imagine, Bungie has given it a technical name in the process that should become a template in the making of vehicles, and an inspiration in the creating of brand new vehicles. And i only wanted to share this for courtesy. So if you are going to make a vehicle. A weapon. A turret. stop, think, and find out what you are going to name it. I think it is an important step. I say this now because I forgot my original reason for posting all of this. : P
