when every i open up halo ce and pc a pop-up comes and says:

A problem occured while initializing directdraw. Hardware acceleration might be disabled, please run dxdiag.

and i do that and directdraw works fine but direct3d is unavalible.(i can access test directdraw but not direct3d) i just my computed re-built so thats y i havnt been here in ages and sapien closes after 2sec after opening.

oh i think i konw how to fix the sapien 1, but if it still doesnt work,u need to get ur game workign first. U just need to run ur pc at a 32-bit rate you know ????also if ur using dual prossessor(erm i dont know how to spell it :P) then set affinity to 1 in task manager when u open sapien

ok ill try evilkevens thing and i use XP and not VISTA.

and before my computer got re-built i used a hce folder shotcut on desktop and sapien worked.

and by 32bit rate do u mean by changing the colour quality, on the display propeties, settings tab.

you only need to set the affinity if ur using dual processor,if you're not using dual processor,then u cant set the affinity,more likely you dont need to set it.

How To Set The Affinity: open up sapien but dont open a scenario, open task manager then go to processes(2nd tab) and then right click on the sapien one and then clcik on set affinity and make it 1 instead of 2


to change the colour thingy,just right click on your desktop background and then go to proporties and then colours(last tab) and then change it to 32 bit

ok i cant set the affinity to 1 s i think i dont have a dual-processor, and 32 bit was default and that didnt work. i think i have to install a new driver for 3d harware or sumthing coz while i was fixing sound my add hardware wizard said that i need to install sumthing for video controller (VGA compatible) can sum1 show me a link to one please?

and once this is all done ill put floodgulch4 on halomaps and it will be alot quicker to make coz its all planned out and i have new halo 3 weapons, such as:

h3pistol(extremly good, highly recommended to put in your maps just use TAZZ's bitmaps and the cmt pistol fp animations, its a nice mix)
h3assault rifle(it looks really good and not one of those crappy ones on other maps)
h3plasma rifle(my fav)
h3 plasma pistol(not much of a difference to the normal h1 plasma pistol)
h3 shotgun(another fav)
h3 rocket launcher(without the lock-on)
h3 sniper(another fav)
and i dont know if i gonna put this on the map------h3 fuel rod(still under construction)
