I am currently having troubles with installing 3ds max 8, when I finish installing it I attempt to launch the application that is now on my desktop, and I get an error looking for "acge16.dll" but when I download it off google and place it in the 3ds max folder, it just doesn't help. Any ideas?

I get a similar problem too, but it is with painterinterface.dlu. The program worked the first time I used it, but for all other times I just got an error.

Do what I did:
Make sure the file is in C:\Common Files\Autodesk Shared.
Make sure it is NOT in C:\Windows\system or system32.
