u know what would be cool. is if we made the campaign of halo to be put on the multiplayer thing. i mean what is making the expiration files or what ever it is come up when u want to play a single player map or did i just answerer my own question i dont know.

it means y cant we put the campaign on the multiplayer so u can play co-op on the internet

AI don't Sync over halo ce's crappy netcode. Simple as that

well the map "great war hopeless battle" has ai in it but u can play it on multiplayer

Alot of maps have ai in them, but they do not sync in the engine. On one persons screen the ai could be blown away by a rocket but on the others its still there and when they fire at it, it causes exceptions.

It's impossible without changing the source code of the game. We can't get the source code because Microsoft and Bungie still use the same engine for h2 and h3.

no i mean how are u able to make it so i can play co-op without changing the source code do i have to map a whole new map with the campaign in it

YOU CAN'T. My god, let's live with these facts:

-AI doesn't sync. At all.
-Some scripting in the campaign doesn't sync either.
-Halo CE was not meant to have campaign at all.
-The best possibility for this is (if it even happens) Halo 3 PC to come out.

im just asking how do u get ais to be on multiplayer maps because on great war hopless battle it has ai and u can play multiplayer.

oh and it is in snyc

I played on Great war Hopeless Battle. No, it doesn't sync. One time I was shooting at a group of hunters, and on my friends computer, It looked like I was shooting at nothing. He asked me "What are you shooting at?"

i wish they could sync too lol if were lucky ask bungie to make a patch so that the ai can sync but that will never happen even if someone payed them to do it

Technicoly, if you h4x3d the game code, you could, and kornman is opening a can of sauce for the yellow project. So anyone with extensive C++ skills could, but I doubt hte acual patch would ever reach the light of day.. cause you'll probly need to make referance to things that wont be listed in yellow, ect.

The network code is an intergral part of the main game engine, you could not just "hack" the code to allow AI to sync because you would then have to re-write all the multiplayer code to accomodate them. Essentially you would need to re-write the entire game engine then find a way to get everyone to upgrade to it. Besides the obvious violation of the EULA why spend all that time on a 7 year old game engine when others like UT or Source have the functionality built in? It is just not realistic.
