Due to the lack of maps available for download on the site, I figured I'd start a thread to see if anyone was working on new maps. If you are currently working on a map, post some pics and tell us a little bit about your chosen design.

Here's a little a pic of the map I'm currently working on;

Working Title;
Liberty
Concept; If any of you are familiar with Philadelphia you might know the Vine Street Expressway. It's my favorite part of the city and I wanted to try and bring it into the Halo world, it's hard to tell from the picture but the center trench is designed like the expressway. The core concept of the map is to have the trench as a choke-point, the teams will have to battle across the bridge to have any luck of capturing the flag or planting a bomb.
Art; Although many of the environments in the Halo series where extremely futuristic, I'm going to try and maintain a 'modern' look for the map and mix in subtle design of Human progression.

THAT is awesome! btw you should make the trees scenery but theyll look better being apart of bsp imo. GJ

Being that I'm not sure how to create scenery tags for H2V, I'm making the trees as instanced geometry (I believe is the name of it for Halo 2 Editor).

Also, does anyone have some maps to post? I made this hoping I could see some maps to get excited for.

This is nice, What have you done thus far? More pics please :P

What have I done thus far as maps? Well I modeled the original Sandtrap (Although it's no longer being used by H3MT), and this is actually going to be my first map I release.

I'll have more pics up soon.

^No it doesnt beat 3DS max since Blender is a maze to learn.And no it wont export..But you can save it as a object and import it to Gmax(If you got no money(instead of 3ds max))and from there use Bluestreak.Also you will find Gmax is alot easier then blender..So is 3ds max...Also you dont export it as .BSP files you export it as .JMS files.

That's a matter of opinion, alot of 3DS Max user have told me the same thing about Blender though.

As far as this topic goes, if no ones gonna post any maps they are working on, I may just start a new thread for my map. Let this one die if no one else post new maps.
