Okay I did a search but found nothing but a bunch of veeeeery long posts involving CMT ppl and whingers.
I aquired a copy of H1 for XBox and I wanted to smash my HaloPC to bits, the shaders and effects on XBox eat the PC for breakfast, I really only care about the Jackals shields though.
I was thinking about how we can make the jackals shields again, with the spiderweb on them and colour change for High rank jackals, If we use a shader_model with the jackalshield bitmaps and give it the colour change source of whatever the blue/gold source is. making sure the shield Bitmap has an Alpha layer and is exported as a Dxt3 bitmap (cant remember if its interpolated alpha or something along the lines of that) would this work? I know there would be no, I think its the scolling texture of smoke, but it still should work. I can't test this atm because my neighbor is borrowing my HPC disc to play HugeAss and the huge snow level so I'm asking here.
