You can't do that in H2EK. I was told alot of the tools were locked including vehicles, weapons, bipeds and more. Edited by Nexus Halo on May 25, 2008 at 05:52 AM

I don't have Halo 2 vista since there's no good modding stuff like AI, new vehicles, new weapons, new bipeds, etc. Halo CE is much better, you can do pretty much anything there.

Micro$oft is the worst company when it comes to thinking outside of the box now-a-days. Halo and the Zune are really the only reasons why I am associated with them at all. >=/

guys there is a critical flaw to halo 2's map structure to allow for customizing weapons and such. shared.map is where all of the tags are located and are referenced by the map files. modifying shared.map would require you to send your build of shared around to everyone to play the map. a customizable halo 2 would require a whole reworking of the map structure. please, dont sling mud at microsoft unless you have some knowledge of what your talking about and are able to formulate such ideas. its harsh, but hey.

You CAN have the stuff in Halo 2 Vista; but that would need importing and ripping of the Tags from the .map file; then Conversion so Guerrilla/Tool/Sapian would recognize it. Other that that yea, you can not do it at this time because there are no tools for it.

Actually, that problem is quite simple to overcome. Simply internalising tags which are not in the shared.map, and BOOM - User created map. By the way, internalising isn't that hard, there is one for Halo 2 on the Xbox, so all that would be needed is someone making one for H2Vista, or the creator of the Xbox version making a plugin for H2Vista too.

Well, you would need to figure out why shared.map wont work; but on live it wont work at all

You're lucky it even has any map making ability at all.
