Ok first off, this is just an idea, im not planning to make it, im not asking someone to make it, im just giving out an idea...

I watched Saving Private Many times, and noticing the beginning was always the part i enjoyed most...

So heres the idea...

What if someone made a map, where the blue team starts at the beach, (preferably spawning in the boats used in the movie) then charging up the beach using only little shields as cover...

the red team though will start out on a huge bunker, filled with about 6 turrets, so they would pretty much be mowing down the blue team the whole time...

main purpose of the blue team:
charge up to the bunker and start destroying the reds...

main purpose of the red team:
keep the blues from entering the bunker...


Notes and other ideas...

-Add some ditches for the blues, just have to watch out for grenades...

-at the bunker supply a couple of sniper rifles...

-make it so the blues have the leave the boats from the back, that way they wont get spawned killed as much...

-make about 4 boats, that way the reds wouldn't really know which one to keep track of

-spawn some snipers inside the boats?

Seems like an amazing map except OMG RED TEAM IS TOO FRICKING OVER POWERED.
Maybe make it 2 turrets.. <HMM like in the movie....and maybe like 3 assault rifles for red
Blue should have assault rifles and sniper rifles (this would pretty much be equivalent to the movie.
This way it is Not IMPOSSIBLE for blue to get to red base but it will be pretty friggin hard.

Maybe a singleplayer map? Make it all Halo'd out. You play as the MC which is droped onto the beach. You and 2 platoons run up the beach with lots of Covenant turrets shooting at you. With a Longsword passing by low overhead. With Banshees following it. They don't have to be shooting. Could be an animated scenery. Just an idea.

i was thinking about that too, two turret would be better...

the idea would be nice if halo had someting like battlefield. where you can take over position and respawn there so you wont have to walk all that way on the beach again

i has an idea for this map. make two versions maybe.
on ethat has ai and one that doesn't.

i dont think itd be too over balanced as long as red team did go out of the bunkers.
i mean how hard could it be to make it up the beach, the Americans did it with a limited amount of men and in halo you have infinitely spawning half ton super soldiers with state of the art weapons from the future....i think people could manage.

and if your still worried about red being better then just give blue weapons in the boats and beach and maybe add some trenches right in front of the bunkers like in the first level of MOH front line.

yup. if i remember rightly, the canadians were part of the d-day operation overlord! they landed at either: sword,juno or gold. the americans landed at utah and omaha, the british at sword and gold
and the canadians at juno. something like that.

if anyone would do this mod, (I'd do it but don't know how to use GMAX) it would be hard, also I'm gonna switch your ideas a bit to make it like more fair for blues, and morel ike the movie,
1. have there be 4 towers for reds one chaingun turret in each tower, 2 snipe rifles in each tower,
2have there be at least 1 scorpion and 2 hogs for blues,

3 give each blue a sniper rifle and a assault rifle that they spawn with,
4 put some fox holes around
5 and put 2 jets or somthing for reds
that would make it like the movie, course, people already think this idea is already made and is dumb, but i think you've got a good idea.
also while britan and the other guys got involved first, and died alot, we did just as much as the british did.

Also i dont see why people brag about how much their country did. First off, WE ALL SACRAFISED SOMETHING and secoundly: Its not actually YOU its your grandparents ect. People today have nowhere near the same courage. They charge up against blazing gun fire while today people would refuse to go. So really when you say "We did more then you britz" I'm assuming you mean "My grandparents or dad or w/e did more then you britz"(not trying to offend anyone)

saving private ryan was a good movie, but it was a stupid ending, i mean, the guy wnts to stay and fight, and they all die saving him.
and technically it'd be your great grandparents, cuz no 50-60 year old was 21 during that time, but my grandfather was in vietnam.

neither of the world wars would have been won by the allied powers if the Americans hadn't come in and gave them that extra push. in WWI the French and Germans were stuck in a war of attrition on the western front. the Americans came in in 1917 and fought with the French on the western front for ~1 1/2 years, and finally defeated them. in WWII they did nearly the same thing, after German U-boats sunk the Lusitania which really pissed of the Americans, and when British spies intercepted a telegram to Mexico from Germany to try to get Mexico to launch an attack on America. The Americans weren't too happy about all that so they went in to Europe with a bunch of troops and gave the allies an extra push, and dropped the A-bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Without america theres a good chance we could all be speaking German right now.
