Despite the last thread I threw up, which I am still sorry about guys, I am curious about modeling and all of that good stuff. But my question is where should I begin? What tutorial should I use to model? What is good and what is not?

Look for the Beretta 9000 tutorial, that covers all the things in making a weapon.

Well, the thing is is that I looked on this site for it, but I didn't find it. It is found elsewhere?

I found it, but it is for 3ds MAX and not Gmax. Does it ultimately matter, or do I need the render abilities of 3ds?

Alright, so I am all set for the tutorial? All I need is Gmax really? Nothing else?

Use geogeeks. And you'll need lot's of spare time if you want to make maps.

dont use berreta 9000 tutorial, it creates alot of bad habits, plus its un-reliable.

I used that tut to get where I am today. Chains do you even know what you're talking about? Because I have yet to see you model a weapon, so stop talking with all your pride thinking you know everything.

yes i did. that tutorial shows methods that are VALID, but lead to wasted polys.
edit: basically, my opinion on that tutorial is not to plane model a weapon like that, but watch the tutorial, becuase you will learn some good tools and methods
