Because Halo CE utilizes "Fast Shaders" which allows the shaders (all textures, cube maps, bump maps, everything that has to do with textures) to render faster at the same speed. Unfortunately, this disables anti-aliasing support.
That is why Halo CE runs better. The word choice you want is better PERFORMANCE.
