Quote: --- Original message by: DarkZealot True custom content isn't ripped models with custom textures. Make your OWN levels, make your OWN models and then you can be considered custom.
Make your own weapons too. And vehicles. THAT's what I expected to see in CE. What on EARTH are you talking about. Are you trying to say that CMT uses ripped models? Everything you see in our mod, unless stated otherwise, is made froms scratch. We have made our own levels, and I'm not talking about Arteens maps. Either learn to think, or gtfo the forums. Another thing people here need to learn. Custom =/= Creative.

Just a reminder: Keep it civil people. Quote: Cardinal Rules: Violating these rules will get you banned:
3. Play Nice! UXB Internet and Halo Maps will not tolerate insulting, flaming or harassing of users. Do not pick fights or 'troll', or post topics on controversial issues such as race, religion, sexual preference, etc. Keep to the topics of the particular forum. As your parents taught you, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. By all accounts there are still people interested in the game because they still download about 4,000 – 8,000GB of files each month (4-8 terabytes) and we still get over 2 million page views and over 250,000 unique visitors a month. What their specific interest is I cannot say definitively. I suspect that although there are still 70-100 servers still being run many people run LAN servers or use the game solo to play AI maps or with their friends. Halo CE never had the following or penetration like the Halo PC retail game. I am guessing that since it is the only Halo game with the full ability to change or modify just about everything in the game people still are attracted to it. It’s popularity will fade, in that there is no doubt, and new games will supplant old ones like Halo CE, but I suspect that until there is a Halo game with a full SDK editing kit like Halo CE it will stay relatively popular or at least hold its own for a lot longer than other games normally would.

Quote: --- Original message by: DarkZealot Halo CE is too old. Even though people are using it to create H3 RIPOFFS (*cough cough CMT and H3MT*), the engine has it's limitations. That's why when I get Vista and a new GFX card I will move on to Halo 2 Vista, because the engine is virtually the same using the same physics engine (Havok). What does it matter that we're trying to re-create Halo 3 stuff for CE? People did it for Halo 2. At least all our stuff doesn't SUCK. Re-making something to put into something else is good practice. H3MT takes THEIR time to give YOU something nice. If you don't like it, then maybe we should just cancel the whole thing? /sarcasm We're not going to stop now, and there's nothing at all that you can do to stop us.

Quote: --- Original message by: Sgt Stacker If you remember your old CD key or uninstalled the game you can easily use the CD Key Recovery Tool on the website. Then as long as you own the game you can mount a mini-image with a tool such as daemon tools to make the game think the CD is in a drive. Which is what i do because my CD was thrown away a year ago. Me too, my cd is scratched and so old its not even funny. Custard Mapping Team does make custom stuff, just look at all their weapons...
