well i just played contact, an new singleplayer level wich is uploaded and now for download

And i have to say i like the map although it has a lot (almsot everything) texturing errors
but half of the ground terein is decently modeled
the other half tough was badly modeled
like i got my hog stuck a few times and kept going of the edge because the hog couldnt get an good grip on the ground
1 time i even had to flip my hog 10 times until i decides to use an nade to get it out
so when i finally get to the first few enemies
they dont see that far i have to say
like i keep shooting at them but they keep standing there until i get quiete close
when i enter the mine the map becomes better
like i not only have to defeat the enemeis on the ground
but i also get shot from a bove and the flanks
wich made up for the dumb ai earlier
the caves where badly modeled and textured but sinds this is ur fist map (i think) i will stop saying that
while going trough the tunnelsi saw you used a lot of dumb ai pilled into a room then using smart ai at this point (gets better later0
i kept being shot from multible sides wich kept the gameplay fun
i loved the fact that you put the ai/modeled the map in such an way that i cant (well i can but i get shot a lot) rush into an room
for instance you get into an room wich has enemies on small balcony/s and on the ground
and all of a sudden 2 hunters come out of an tunnel (wich is to small for them believe me i know i saw that the hunter waas almost 2 times as broad when it chased me troug the tunnel when i killed the other hunter)
I though lol at that moment thanks for that XD
like befoer heading out side there was a small room with a lot grutns, elties 2 hutners aadn a few grutns with plasma canons
i loved the damge i had given when i sticked 1 of those grutns rough an small windows opening
i think i heard 3 plasma cannons and tons of plasma nades expolde and when i got into the room i saw that there wher bodies trown 20 meter far away into the tunnel
then later i come to the outside and i see a few elites waiting for me with needlers
i didnt like the fact that they just mindless shot all their needler ammo away
was fun though then i sticked all of them when they ran out of ammo
then after killed the elites i got an an ghost and i kept being shot by grunts in turrets from multible angles
i liked the idea that you had for this canyon part of the map
but what i didnt like was that half way the canyon i saw tons of turrets but no grunts in there
then after a while i got near an teleporter and i get an shot cut scene and then i am on a covenant bridge i think wich a few enemies on the other side
when i shot at them they didnt react wich was kidna boring they where jsut shooting targets
after taking most of them out with an sniper i saw something weard like i wanted to shoot an eltie but i think you moddeled something half way the bridge because soemthing stopped it half way the bridge when i should had an clear shot at him
i kept shooting at the elite but no effect until i moved a bit to the right
wel almost at the end of the map
i liked the way you used the gold elites with energysword they where soemtimes hard to kill
because of the large amount of health
and i liked the way you used the middle part of the last part of the level
plus points:
good gameplay at times
i could use my shotgun a lot in close corners and could sneak attack a lot
lotz of xplosions
very good scripted for ur first map ( i cant script that well so bravo :P)
use of ai in combination with the bsp/map at soem poins
given me 30 min of fun
negative points:
to many invisable elites they just lost their rare apearance wich i liked
most of the map bsp/texturing
dumb ai at some points
given me 30 min of frustration
rating:
well my rating is 7 because i am keeping in midn that this is ur first map (atleast i think)
and that there jsut arent so many custom made sp maps of this huge mc donald size
dont look at the typo's i made to lazy to fix
