By doing this halo will become lag free.
this is for people who do not now how to do this.
Btw you might want some cash$$$

Ok to do this I used a VIZIO 37inch lcd tv. It probally work with any other kind of lcd tv thats a little more than 25inches.

Your gonna need a cable called a 6ft VGA replament cable. I got mine from radio shack for about 21 bucks. *note they need to be male to male. You can also get a DVI to HDMI if you want HD. I didnt try that but a guy at best buy says it works for him.

Your gonna wanna take one end of the Cable and plug it into the RBG plug in the back. (if its
HDMI one look for HDMI slot1 ) plug it in. Take the other end and plug it into the computer.

If it the HDMI one look for a plug that fits the end. (note this only works for Desktop comptures. NOT LAPTOPS USE THE VGA CABLE FOR LAPTOPS!!!!)

Now that you have it pluged in you might want a wireless keyboard and mouse. I got a good one with both a keyboard +mouse. Its a logetech one for about $65.

Now that you Have all the stuff and done all of it, Halo ce will look buetifull, sexy, and lag free!

I hope you guys will use this. Im gonna start using it for playing Halo.

One last note is if you get the keyboard and mouse set, make sure to make the mouse move a bit slower ,it goes really fast at first.

How would doing that make halo lag free?

Anyhow LCD tv's rock as a monitor, i have had one for at least a year now. It's both my tv and my pc monitor. I can even make it so one half of the screen is tv and the other half is pc.

Well if your talking about multiplayer online play then you are wrong, it has to do more with ping than the fps.

It still isnt as slow though , but if you have atleast like dsl it really snt that lagy but ya it still has to do with ping i guess. Im not really the most internet type person.

I think he is talking about the framerate. Most of these new TVs have very nice frame rates and refresh rates. Also, the S-video cable is a lot better than the component RGB cables.

hmm S-cable...I saw that on the back of my tv. And ya its more framrate and notping it helps. I played about 50 different games today using it and it was faster but still if you have a high ping itll be slow. But still, goes fast if you have a nice connection atleast dsl or something higher :P

For example:

Immure has very nice detail and bumps but it never use to be all that great in fps becuase it would lag and now this wasnt ping.

Then I used The VGA cable and played a few games using a Decent DSL connection.

Buetifull.

so iv seen a few wrong things already:
first off, halo cannot be made lag free by attaching it to a tv. thats just stupid as hell
second, fps on the tv has nothing do do with anything. the graphics card is what sends the image through the cables to the tv. its all dependent on your pc hardware.

yes but that sucks for FPS games because of the position of the crosshair

Not on my screen, the crosshair is right where it should be. I actually used to play halo on one side and watch tv on the other. And the crosshair wasn't ever a problem.

My screen also gets fantastic fps

I have my computer set up to a LCD TV and Halo is not lag free.

we already figured that out. It helps the refresh rate for a more better look. but still it dosent goes as slow when using this..Ive been playing with it for some time now and for me it hasnt been extremmley lagy as was on my laptop ,for example immure
