(SORRY i posted this topic in H2V Map Development/Technical, Im reposting here >_>)

I cannot make servers that people can join, and i have Tried Everything it seems.. I Have Unblocked the Following Ports from the Windows Fire Wall:

80 (Transmission Control Protocol [TCP]) - Halo looks to see if there is a Halo update available. If there is an update, Halo downloads the update through this port.
2302 (User Datagram Protocol [UDP]) - the game host listens on this port.
2303 (UDP) - the game client connects to the game host through this port.
6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)
13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
6515 (Dplay UDP)
6500 (Query Port)

I Have Windows Vista, and also Have my Network Options Set to the right Ports on Halo CE.
Am i missing something? seems like it should work @.@ and i have Read all of the FaQs about this that i can get my hands on, most of them seem to only apply to H2V or Halo: CE (On XP) but what about Halo: CE on Vista?
by the way, is there a way to have The Halo Dedicated Server DOS window open, and play on another server at the same time? It wont connect to any other servers when the Dedicated server is open

Any Ideas? Greatly Appreciated

You also need to go into your router and forward these ports from your external IP to your PC's internal IP. See http://www.portforward.com for information about your router.

Since the client and the server both use the same ports in default mode you will get a conflict - both the server and client trying to lock the same port. You will need to change the the ports on one of them. See:

I started a dedicated server and can't connect to it
http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?nid=239

Since Halo is processor intensive I highly recommend against trying to run a client and server on the same PC. Both will lag badly.

Thanx Dennis,

Although I'm having a little bit of trouble with the PortForward.. uhh..
Im at the 'select your router' stage in the PortForward Program:

The Model# Label on my Modem looks like this:

Model:GT701
QW05.5.3.60.3.0.7.6

and there is an option that says

GT701WG QW05.5-3.60.3.0.7.6

Now is that the same? or do I have to send in a request to them @_@ (uhg this is turning into such an ordeal, i hope this fixes it lol)

Oh, and also:

Quote: You tell the dedicated server which port to use on the command line with the directive -port 2312.

what exactly do i type in to the Command line (that is the 'Halo Console 1' right? >_>)
i know i know.. i probably missing something completely oblivious @.@

You will also need the manufacturer of the router you are using.
