The textures for my map are set to a multi/sub object. I have a water texture seperate to that material and this is set to just standard. Is that correct

No matter what, I'm sure you have to set them all to Multi/Sub Object. Just decrease the number to 1, and there you have it. I don't know why, but that's just how it seems to work.

Odd. I follow H Guru's tutorial, and I don't even remember where I got it (No, it wasn't here)... But yeah, it requires Multi/Sub Object for everything, which is a bit strange, but not too big of a deal. I don't know exactly what kind of effect that has on models really. xD; I'd have to decompile a model and figure it out, and I'm too lazy to mess with that stuff.

Well it worked anyway, BUT>>>>> i got the map open in sapien but the water in my map seems to disappear and doesnt cover all the area where it should. Any ideas why?

You used deathisland's reflection thingy or whatever didn't you? If so, that's what happens. I don't remember how to fix it though, it's been forever since I've even worked on maps.

it did fix it, although following the Hguru tutorial for adding the fog that doesnt work now...
