You may have noticed that the Halo Movies website has undergone a major makeover. With the improvements in streaming technology we can now offer higher resolution streamed video that we could before. No longer will you need to completely download the video before you can watch it. With only few exceptions all videos are now offered only in streamed format. In addition to the change in format many new features have been added to the website:
- The hosted Channels can now be filtered by genre’
- All lists can be sorted by title, date, user rating, site rating and views
- Each movie detail page contains suggestions based on other users ratings
- You can find more movies within the section while watching the video
- You can find more movies by the author while watching the video
- You can rate the video while watching it
Halo Movies has always been picky as to what gets hosted but we realize that there may be other Halo based videos that we missed or that you may just want listed on our website. To that end we now offer a self published section where you may post your video on our website even if it is hosted at You Tube or some other video hosting site. Just fill out the Self Published Form on the submissions page and include the embed code supplied by the video hosting website and we will include it in our archive.

Does this mean that the old submission rules still apply (IE, the 'No Fraps/Gamecam etc. watermark' Rule)?

I noticed that with the new site setup, some older videos are not available any longer. I'm guessing they were removed for lack of viewer interest? My example is here: The old Dust to Dust trailer: www.halomovies.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=1700I don't mind so much that it's not there anymore, but I'm curious as to why. Thanks.
