My stuff is going AWRY!!!!!

ok, when i select objects in my gmax program, it won't make them a different color..(so i can tell what i'm selecting).
so, is there a way to make it show me? how do i do it?
my friends said theirs shows it, how do i get to have mine like that too.???

Try clicking on the display button on the right(next to the red hammer) and where it says shaded select object color instead of material color. I use 3dsmax so I'm not sure if its different.

in 3ds its just F2. doesn't make sense to be shift+F2.

Yeah just press F2 and the model should be colored red so you can see it easily.

Oh yeah I'm having problems with GMax exporters, if anyone could help, when I try to export an error comes up and says "Runtime error~ Cannot get mesh from this object" does anyone know what this means??
