Hey there. I decided to go ahead and make my debut in the mapping world. I got great timing right? My WIP is called Quarry for now. I've already changed the name, it used to be Crag (I love rock climbing). But since the Chief would have a real hard time hauling his own butt up a cliff, much less that heavy pistol of his, I decided we would skip the climbing idea. :D I do expect this one to take some time, I only work on it on the weekends pretty much. Here are some perspective shots. These will have to do until I learn to make a proper clay. Of course all I have for now is the base, and this last one reveals a bit of the innards. There ya go. once again, I'm sorry about the poor renders, but I have impressed myself with modelling and an experienced friend is helping me so hopefully I can get you something reasonable soon. Thx for the comments!

Looks promising, keep it up and it may shape up to be a worthwhile map.

Ok, here are the wireframes: right now I'm just upwards of 2000poly... The inside of the base still needs work... too boxy. I can post some pics of just the insides later so you can get oriented better. I intended this to be a somewhat large map originally, but I think the final may be somewhere in the neighborhood of No Remorse size, but maybe with more elbow room. Another decision I'm kicking around is that the other base will be completely different, and placed on the ground, maybe some of it below. Right now I still have no concept of how the ground layout will look.
