I'm actually posting this for a friend, not me, but every time he opens Halo CE, to join a game with anyone, even me, no text displays in game. To explain, no white text displays anywhere, when he hits T/Y/H (All, Team, and Vehicle chat), even the black bar at the bottom doesn't display. And he cannot send nor receive any messages because of this. He has tried uninstalling and reinstalling HCE, running the msxmlenu.msi file, disabling his firewall, and none of it has worked. We have _no_ clue what the error is at all, but is there anyone who has suggestions as to how to fix this error? He would really like to be able to play HCE again, and I'd love to get him back in my clan once he fixes this error. But with this problem, CE just doesn't play right because you can't talk at all.

See, apparently either he didn't run the msxmlenu.msi file like he claimed to have done, or running it after un- & re- installing CE did the job. xD; Either way it works now. Also, another text issue I've noticed. If you press ALT+TAB when in game to view any other windows, then go back, the text lags and sometimes doesn't display at all. Why exactly does this happen? |

And to Solve the problem just run halo in a window, And you never get text lag. Problem with that is that Halo lags if you run it in a window. And the full screen gives you less distraction, and it's so much easier to play full-screen. That's why I've just attempted to get all my friends to get XFire so I can talk to them while in-game, and no necessity for ALT+TAB. x3 Oh well. |

Yea it doesnt just lag.... If you alt tab out of a windowed CE, then the screen freezes, and when you get back into it, youll see lots different most likely... Most likely a change in scenery, probably some bullets flying at you....
