What physics engine does Halo use? It's not Havok right? because if it was Havok it would likely have ragdoll.
Can't scripts (somewhat) randomly move objects around? what if we have them to randomly move nodes & Animation markers around on bipeds when the biped is killed, so that way it has "somewhat" of a ragdoll effect?

It be teh Blam! engine. And for your ragdoll theory, been there, shot down, don't bother.

I dont know how he'd go about making the ragdoll anims, but if he uses reactor in Max... Well he has to figure out how to make teh person get hit in certain ways and teh whole body move... Without the body just falling to the ground. Ragdoll using that method works for airbourne anims... Edited by Caboose117 on Oct 13, 2007 at 03:13 PM

isnt ragdoll partly controlled by nodes in the biped and by the physics engine?

Blam! engine= no ragdoll support. If you make ragdoll animations, you use Reactor in 3ds Max, which uses the Havok engine, and have a ragdoll made by one of its scripts... A lot of work for 1 animation really....
