Hi, its me again, in sapien, how do you add a tag of something (take the heavy scorpion for example) into the map?

One more thing, i know that you can only have 6 vehicles in a map without needing more scripting, but do you mean 6 vehicles as in>

Banshee
Banshee
Banshee
Warthog
Warthog
Warthog Like this? cause this is 6 vehicles

Or do you mean it as in>

Banshee
Banshee
Banshee
Banshee
Banshee
Warthog
Warthog
Turret
Turret
Ghost
Ghost like this? cause this is 4 different TYPES of vehicles, but more then 6 actual vehicles

you can only have 6 different types of vehicles.

Like for example

Banshee
Ghost
Warthog
rocket warthog
covie tank
tank

of those 6 types you can pretty much have as much as you want of those specific vehicles.

and no you cant just add another vehicle in the globals you have to swap unless you want to script

those will teach you some things about working with weapon tags. It's a start and you will learn quite a bit about tags in general.

as far as population get a map population tutorial off of halomaps (search).

If It Wont Appear In Game Go To Your Globals And Add The Vehicle

Tags\globals\globals.global

Go Down To Vehicles And In The Drop Down Select The Vehicle You Want To Replace.
(Theres A Way To Add It Without Editing Other Vehicles But Ah Well)

So Say That We're Changing The Scorpion, Selelect Scorpion

Then Click On ... Next To Scorpion And Find The heavyscorpion.vehicle tag and open it

Just Dont Add Grenades On The Wepon Bit, It Will Teach You About Tags.

Also Open Tags In Guerilla, Its Fun (Well For Me) To Look Inside Them. You Might Gain Some Knowlage...

the reason why i posted the weapon tut is to help him learn about tags in general. It would help him understand how tags work and he could then apply that knowledge learned to other types of tags.

and sebby123 is right just playing around in guerilla will help you learn alot. I gained most of what i know by just messing around.

thnx guys for your help.. but i think i should be a bit more specific on what i need... I dont rly need info on tags.. i need to know how to put em in a map.. For instance.. If if im using something such as the Scarab, when i select the folder, theres about 3 files there.. along with some other folders, from what i know, your supposed to select the .vehicle tag, but when i do, it says this>>

open the vehicle tag in guerilla and fix the red text, fix the path of the red text it tells you right there what file you need to put there.

ganon was making a tut on placeing tags awhile back but i don't know if he uploaded it. maybe he will post it here or something.

u need sever practice. i suggest screwing around in the pistol weapon to learn things. thats how i started. also, the scarab is probably missing tags

Will someone with a good quality screen recorder make a tutorial on installing tags and fixing the red text. Personally it would be so easy just to be able to link people to a tag fixing tutorial. this way we can get away from having so many people keep asking. Ganon made one i one point but i bet he lost it. I think someone needs to make one and upload it to halomaps.

thank you Sebby123 i think our community needed one. It will be much easier to just link people to a tag fixing tut when they ask how do to this.

winrar is not really that cheep though. At least it was not when i last looked. But not many have a need for .rar compression, halomaps also only uses .zip the only reason i even have tugzip is because i once needed to download a tut from h-guru's site and he likes .rar

yes the process for installing all types of tags is pretty much the same. Scenery, weapons, and vehicles.
