Hi, I have been tying to make a simple map and I keep getting open edges. Even when I just make a box flip it and export I keep getting open edges. If anyone has ever had this problem or has any help please tell me. Thank you. Also I am using gmax.

open edges are the devil. its kind of hard to explain how to fix them. but basically they are edges of faces that are not attached to the edge of another face. halo has a "closed world" rule. so now faces can be left open. you just gotta look for that faces that has no other faces attached to it. you can use the modifier STL check and it will show you where they are.

well, all I am doing is making a box and flipping it, how does that make open edges?

well, I deleted the file but I think theres like 4 open edges or something, and the edges are going across the side faces

i have this problem right now as well. Im in edge-mod, its an editable mesh, i am in STL Check, there r 12 open edges, and i need to know. How does it show you which edges open? Does it make it a different color? Cause i have 6 ladders in this map, and if the errors are those ladders, which are planes, i have no idea how to fix it. SO, help!
