When I started up gmax and put in the activation code, another window appeared. It has these drive settings in it. I just clicked ok without configuring settings. I get a fatal error message saying "Interactive 3d renderer iniziation failed. Please check your device settings by using the -h command line option". Now, every time I start gmax up, I get this message. Please help!

... Spell like normal and have some patience - this isn't a hotline, its a forum. You don't get help any faster by using subject lines like OMG I'M A NOOB PLZ HELP URGENT!!!!! Yours wasn't that bad but still could have been more specific to something like "Gmax device configuration error message"

One course of action might be to reinstall Gmax, use the activation code from your email, and THEN configure your device settings this time. If you don't know what a commmand line option is you're better off reinstalling.

Depends on your computer hardware.

go to C:\gmax then delete gmax.ini. This will delete the gmax settings and set everything to default. Open gmax then choose software instead of D3D, D3D is the best but your graphics card must not be good enough.
