Well, for those of you who have been complaining about screenies of Last Resort, the reason why I have none is because I began work back whenever I announced that I was working on Last Resort I began work on converting an awesome A-Wing, one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, into Halo. The A wing model is from Staffan Norling (Squapper_Stuffe) (http://www.scifi3d.com/author_details.asp?key=50) and I used the retextured version of the model by André Müller (muepper) (http://www.scifi3d.com/author_details.asp?key=90). The model can be found at http://www.scifi3d.com/details.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=10&key=589. I also began work on a custom ARC-170, which I never finished, and I rushed to get done. The quality of it sucked.
So I took my time with this one, I've working on it since just after I realized the ARC-170 sucked.
Also, the poly count is kinda high due to the fact it wasn't designed for Halo, I'm going to reduce it later. I'm working on reducing the polys at the moment.
EYE CANDY!

Sexy, huh? Though the cockpit is high poly and probably won't look as good when done.

Also, Teh Ganon and I will probably do a Star Wars map together, as I am a total Star Wars geek, and Ganon has thousands of Star Wars action figures.

I am currently modeling landing gear for it, which will raise and lower when taking off and touching down.

Looking nice. Did you make those bitmaps or did you rip them from one of those star wars space sims?

I was getting that for you, and Max crashed on me.
EDIT: Sim, I have been learning the ways of the Photoshop. When I first had it, I was but the learner. Now I am the Master.
And Nugga, the poly count is kinda high, I'm going to reduce it later. I put too much detail in it, I think. 16000 polys. Wait. Was the limit 100,000 polys or 10,000 polys? I forgot, lol.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to cut down the polys. It's a combination of the sexy cockpit and the fact I did a mesh smooth early on that I can't undo. I think I might be able to do it without getting rid of the cockpit (Can you tell I like it much?).

i agree i think that is the same. Maybe he meant to say that he is making it to work in halo. even the textures on the site were very very similar. it's odd that he delated the image lol, don't ya think

I'll stop doing that and learn to model then. Best I can do is make stuff in editable poly.

My current strengths are Mapping and Scripting, I'm trying to learn to model, still trying to get the hang of it.

Jay, I just lost all faith in your skillz... Except your photoshop skills. Wait... those are on the downloadable model too. Pfhail....

By the way, that picture in the background is the Veil Nebula which is a supernova remnant.

You've seen my skillz, you know I can tag and such awesomely, I just can't model or skin. I'm an expert at the HEK (You don't get many of those around here), not at 3DS Max.
So I'm stuck with using other models I find on the net, and if I don't find a "Give Credit" clause, I don't give credit. However, I don't say I make them either. Turns out I downloaded the model from a different site, the real one has a "Give Credit" clause, so I gave it out where it was due.
And yes, I do have 1337 Photoshop skillz, too, but they're mostly for improving already existing bitmaps, and I can't make 2 things gradually blend into each other realistically, and I can't make dirt for crap. Or crap for dirt.
So I'm stuck with resizing bitmaps and adding scorch marks and scratches. Only weapons I ever made myself:
Spartan Laser (Too blocky though)
Radiation Launcher (First model I ever got ingame, it sucked compared to stuff I can do now)
Only vehicles I made myself:
ATV (Yes, I have a new hull, no, you can't get a pic because I can't skin).
My only map (Never released, maybe will be someday):
Domination, a multi-level snow map similar to Assault on the Control room. Has concrete bridges stretching across vast canyons, and multiple levels for attacking. Some bridges have been knocked out by a Covenant Cruiser, the busted gravity lift from this cruiser can be used for easy access to the topmost bridge. Other bridges have been knocked out by Longswords, and some have been completely blocked by crashed Pelicans. Red team has Human Vehicles, Blue Covenant Vehicles. The only way to get into the base is an aerial drop from a Pelican or a Phantom. Just press space to lower the thing, then when it has landed, hop out, walk across the tiny cliffs to get to the base, then walk into the room where people spawn 90% of the time, grab the flag, and run into the other room where people spawn 10% of the time, grab a hog or something, and RUN. Or walk back out to your Phantom/Pelican, and use that to run.

I can model maps fine, just not vehicles. Maps are, in essence, huge boxes. Vehicles... Well, they can get complicated.

I've scaled the fighter, please keep in mind MC is 7 feet tall, so it will be pretty cramped.

Also, here are a few of my reference pics.

I don't need any models anyway, Ganon and I each have EAW ourselves, I was first introduced to Xfire through it. I've made a couple maps for it, not too much, and I still have some stuff left over from my old mod for EAW I could use if I wanted to. That ARC-170 was one of my leftover models from that mod.
P.S. I'm chargin my lazer, aimin at ur base.

well do u have the map editor..............? BUT STILL CINEMATIC DEATH STAR IS COMIN
and im about to upload empire pics

Of course I had the map editor, I couldn't make Raxus Prime without it. I think Sapien should have been more like the EAW editor, Sapien, Guerilla, tool, and 3DS Max all in one.

Sexy? I wouldnt go that far. But still, very nice model. Whats it off anyway, another game or a movie or something?

Have you ever seen the movie Star Wars? Episodes 5 and 6? They're in both of them.

Check the first page for an answer.
Also, I am no longer working on this model anymore, I'm working on a different one, from a fun game I should play more often. It's not my model, I'm far too lazy to model something when there are plenty of models that are better, but it works. Low poly, but actually looks good.

Where is the Tie Scout and Imperial Interdictor from?

Also you should do a TIE Interceptor.
