Hey i got a quick question...well in halo, i know that the two combat forms are from mutated humans and elites, and the infection forms originate from the carriers...but where on earth do the carrier forms come from? THEY HAVE NO FACIAL FEATURES- THEYRE POINTLESS. What do you guys think? Am i missing something?

There was a good flood document awhile back on HBO I think. It tells you all about the flood.

However, many carrier forms are older/damaged combat forms...or they could be grunts and jackals.

Also, I think the carrier form is missing a triangle (face) somewhere on it.

you gotta be kidding me dude i saw it and i thought that just because of its aggressiveness but the things gotta have mutated like crazy i think the carriers are grunts jsut becuase of their legs the juggernuat could be hunter but i think it was just a combat form that when over some chemical waste from a ship

The carrier is definitely a combat that has over mutated, and I'm 90% sure juggernauts are hunters...

The Hunters can't be flood, as they are a hive-being, made of cm long worms, too small for the flood to grab on to. (yes, I have too much time on my hands)

Cheers,
TheHappyGrunt

isnt it that the flood will starve if they control a hunter?.. lol. I remember from somewhere (no clue where) that flood need to eat bones, and since hunters are worms, they provide no food and are rarly used since they are only weapons that will die out after the flood gets to hungry

why does gas explode technically the gas explodes so what you got going on in the flood carrier on why it explodes is the heat from the bullet ignites the vapor in their head causing KAPLOOIE that or the parasites inside start to rapidly multiply when the part they are in has massive impact*thats why when they fall boom or if you melee them boom* the parasite might feel that impact and rapidly multiply inside until the head cant take it anymore and than boom the reason why i cant believe its a old combat form is because 1)on halo one there was a ton and they were relativly new unless they age extremely fast 2) if the were from the old combat forms {marine and elite} wouldnt that mean that they would have some differences like the leg area? 3) my older reason the legs resemble a grunt very closely i hope that solves the mystery lol my fingers hurt

Its an older combat form, and why they blow up is either because of a volatile gas inside the "head", or the gas is under high pressures (whether volatile or not), and the sudden release of pressure causes it to explode. Explosive decompression. I think its that one, considering you don't see a fireball....

So after reading that, heres where everything stands:

1: Carriers are either made from creatures that are unable to be combat forms, or they are old combat forms. =P

2: Infections need a host with sustainable biomass and calcium (bones kirby!) to infect them.

3: They tap into the spinal column, meaning, no hunters=juggernauts.... Unless there is something not know about the flood yet...

The Flood were created by the Forerunner in a vain attempt to control populations...

jeez do you people not pay attention to obvious thins
large combat flood form-elite (has elite head hanging on back)
smaller combat flood form-human (looks like a human beaten to death with an ugly stick)
carrier flood form-grunt (compare size, fears, and tell tail feet)
thought you oughta know
