i need the textures for warthogs in tiff but they are in bitmap form. i can't open them in paint or gimp. how did they texture with a bitmap instead of a tiff?

.bitmap is a tag, tool maps the tags when you input a tiff.
tool bitmap blah\hi
that will make <HCE>\data\blah\hi.tiff become <HCE>\tags\blah\hi.bitmap

there is a bitmap extractor on this site, search is your friend

ok well i never knew i needed to extract al bitmapo.

Or just take a screen shot when you open and show the bitmap tags in guerilla... I do it all the time.... Works wonders, except when it comes to alphas. Then you gotta copy that too, and do some other stuff for it to work. And they textured them by the UVW Unwrap method in 3ds max....

Here is a skining tut by h-guru that will show you how to get the warthog skin
