Update: August 4th Need texturer... anyone welcome! Can't texture for beans myself, I'll try, but I'll keep a backup in case anyone can texture better. Working on concept art for 2nd level, nearly done. Plenty of Easter Eggs on the first and second levels. Peace... more pics coming soon. Update: Sometime after the 2nd Update on August 2nd I have completed the BSP for the first level! Now I have to create cinematic BSP's. Thanks for all the help! Update: August 2nd  This is a very early render of the beach segment of "Sudden News." I only need to create the other side of the beach, and the hanger. That's all for now, more pics and a preview coming soon. Update: July 31st Please no Spoilers! I have begun my work on the first level BSP, and I must say, it is coming quite well! Once I am done with the concept art, I shall scan it on to my PC and let everyone who is involved with this project to view it. I will be posting sneak peak pics that will not reveal the storyline. I will say that it is based on Halo. Original Post: I am starting a new SP map project, which is called Havok. This epic story will feature 12 levels, and I ask that my weapon team, and any volunteers (which would be greatly appreciated!) help me with this project. The levels go as follows: Sudden News Sanctuary Fate Helljumpers The Reformation The Unforseen A New Alliance Unseen Consequences A Bloody Installation The Final Establishment Death The Way It Ends I know the names sound wierd, but once you play it, it will all make sense. I am currently drawing concept art for it. I am okay at scripting, but it would be great if anyone would help me. Also, this is a human only campaign, no aliens, so I ask of anyone willing to do this, please scavenge any human custom weapon that is worthy of your use, and send them to me (ones that you think are good!) Thanks. P.S. Anyone who helps make the maps can beta, no one else can. P.P.S. If people like it, I might start some multiplayer maps for it. all help would be appreciated. thanks everyone! i spent all last night working on some concept art, and I think it came out great! im halfway through with the BSP for the first level. anyway, I would love the AI/Scripting help and the smoke grenade. the only problem is, I don't know how to make you hold 3 nades.

okay, I'll try that. How do you remove a marine's weapon? can you just make a marine_unarmed biped, and just set it's default weapons to none, and in the Actor_Varient tag, perform the same?

You overlap the bsp's in max, so that you can put a trigger volume in and make it look like there was no change, and you script it so that when the player is in the trigger volume, it switches the BSP. The overlap is also so that the player isnt outside the second BSP lol, cuz when it switches, all the placements of everything are the same, just the BSP is different....

The beach is like 3000 polies, can Halo render that many? and Who likes to texture?

3000 is fine. Recommended for a Multiplayer map is 10,000..... So for a SP map 300 should be good. Just remember to portal it....

I thought portals only worked for multiplayer... and there won't be as many enemies rendered at the time. many rocks will distort the scene.

i have a good idea for some music. in the beginning of one of your levels (maybe during a cutscene) you could play the song canon. its very good. than later on in the level, when it starts to get very intense with a lot of action, you could play canon rock by jerryc. link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xjJXT0C0X4. this is the best one.
