My newer version of Dam Defense has been released. It has many improvements since the pre-alpha version, but still isn't perfect.

Dam (Blue Base):

Hill (Red Base):

Top View of map:

Blue Base Hill:

Deep side of Dam:

Dam from Red Base Hill:

The major Improvements are:

  • New ground texture.

  • Better vehicle/weapon placement (weapons and vehicles are placed differently then in the released version)

  • Player-clipping added (not in the released version also)

  • Better game-play

  • Three easter-eggs (not in the released version)
  • Water splashes and has fog.

The released version isn't as updated as the pics.

Notes: The sky was made by me!!! This map was modeled and UVW mapped with Blender Foundation, not Gmax or 3dsMax!! Blender is free!!

Please post any comments/suggestions/critisizem here. Also if you find any bugs/errors/glitches, post them here.

Yeah, but the featured maps is just a few maps, you have to go to Halo CE Maps, then down on the left click on CE maps, that lists all of them. You probably already knew that, but just mak'n sure.

Man, my maps have never got up there, but didn't your Under Pass map??? It was released the same time as my pre-alpha version. Then again, I've only released like two or three maps...

The featured section are for maps the Halo Maps staff feel should be "featured". The fact that those particular maps get downloaded alot is nothing more than a by product of the reason they were "featured" in the first place.

A for the Dam Defense map. I still feel it needs red and blue bases built into the cliffs instead of open flag stands and some trees and rocks on the mound in fron top base to prevent tanks or hogs from occupying that area.

Yet again, I have some base models for you if you want to integrate them into the bsp, I could even texture them for you.

Hmm.... I don't know, I was going to make my own model for the Blue base, and mabye use the Gehryphopia style base at the Red base.

No, if it is a dam in the Halo timeline, it would be metal.... But the metal he chose is just too plain... Needs a detail map mb...

Noo, it is suppose to be really old, anyway, the texture is just the default metal now, I will change it sometime.
