hey all it's n00b here.
i usually hate posting ideas for a map but i would like this thread to be a "would it be possible/playable/fun idea" instead of a "hey j00 guyz i hav3 diz awsome dieas dat j00 shood mak!@1@121121!!!!" thread.
anyway, i was playing the battle field 2142 demo and it had this cool game type called titan. basically, there are 2 "titans" (like an ASIS but not as big) in the map, 1 controlled by each team. they slowley move around the map and have drop pods and vehicles on them. the first objective is to drop the enemy titan's shield by capturing missile silo's scaterd around the map. they will periodecally fire anti-titan missiles at the enemey once captured eventually destroying the shield. after the shield is down, they will keep fireing untill the enemy titan is destroyed. HOWEVER: once the shield is droped, you can board the titan via drop pods/flying vehicles to try destroy 4 control pannels. once they are dead, you must then destroy the titan's reactor core. it blows up, and you have 20 seconds to get off the ship before the game ends and the titan blows up.
there are lots of vehicles around the map aswell.
so anyway, i was thinking about converting this to CE but then some of the things wouldn't be that feasible. so i thought "what if it was done in the halo 2 engine?".
lets look at this hey?
1st. the drop pods could be done with a "man cannon" (wich i understand people at GBX are working on atm) 2nd. the missile silo's could be activated by a switch and have an animation that sends a "missile" towards a certain destination and then detonate so it looks like the titan is being shot (and while a switch is on, the titan's shield takes damage. the damage is cumulative to how many missiles are active on the enemy team). 3rd. the the doors to the reactor core could be opend when the control pannels where destroyed (mb they are destructible scenery that when desptroyed, let you access a switch and when the 4 switches are active, the door to the reactor room (where the flag is) would be opened.
the rest of the stuff on the map could easilly be done in halo CE or H2V (is anybody working on a mod like this?) and would those be possible in iether game? n00b out

Or you could just play the actualy game. I dont see the point of making conversions for different games, unless your making a mod for a game that cant go online, like Goldeneye 64 for example.

besides, this was more a "could it be done" post to a "hey you guys, lets do this!!" thread anyway.

IT could be done in H2V, and probably would look better, since you can have all sorts of sexy bitmaps and stuff. That and the Havok physics would make it possible to have the Titans.

ok but my next question is this: would it be possible to have the moving spawnpoints track the titians? (as in somebody might fly them and the spawnpoints would move with it?)

probably by scripting. wait, how did people make the ghosts boost in CE. you probably could do that to the biped.

k. Yea anyway Having Battle Field Halo would be EXTREMLY hard for you to make. although i have reprogrammed CE to have my cheat tool with more cheats than just Medus and stuff i made it were you could spawn Ai and stuff but if we had many helpers it could be possible are you doing this as a mod or a totaly different game? because i have to finish DoA2 before i start more projects i will help if you want this to happen.!

ok, EA is stupid but not that stupid (especially after sony got bust for something simmelar.. stupid sony). punk buster does have many of the attributes of spyware (but then, so does xfire) so i assume that's what he's on about. n00b out

The bug i found and it duplicates. I took it back and told them that it has syware i send feedback to EA games and i got BF2 indstead but uh who wants to help me make BFHalo after i make KEYSTONE map.?
