I don't believe they are interested in because using the new shader extensions would break the look they are going for. They have access to all of CMT's OS work if they chose to want it, such as the vehicle boarding when we approach that next.

Why don't you add the Guta? That would be pretty friggin sweet.

So, you have the 'creep' in it? Cool. It is pretty awesome.

Also... something about the shadow doesn't fit right with me. Maybe because its just a bit bulkier than the spectre, but yea, it doesn't look nice with the soldiers on.

If we do the only thing we would consider is compiling an "upgraded" build that uses OS' post-processing abilities such as bloom, motion blur, anti-aliasing (if possible?), etc...

We want everybody to have the same experience when playing Lumoria, alongside the fact that it's never been a secret we love classic halo gameplay and design our levels around a (somewhat tweaked) vanilla tagset.

It would be awesome if you just updated the textures on the weps, making them look nicer, btu staying close to the original look.

Get what I mean?

But then you'd have to update all the bipeds and vehis... too much work.

I kinda like the old cubemap. This new smooth one looks like there's way less detail.

Vehicle doesnt look right because its too grungy and you can hardly see reflections. And there's only pink with grooves. It would look nicer if u added some alien text or symbols. Also, add burn marks from the exhaust and such.

Overall texture is not even close to finished. Too high contrast. The groovs are too thick and they need a small highlight on either side of them to help them pop out. The scratch areas are too scratched up and are light pink rather than exposing the raw metal underneath (exposing something that should not be pink in the first place). Also, there is only one type of scratch: thick and heavy. How bout toning WAY down those scratches and brink in some new one's?

why not use the textures around here?

I made this using the orig xbox bitmaps (grip) and ar bitmaps from mystic (metal and such)




I did add the yellow strip myself though, just wanted to try it

Halo 1 HUD is almost completely done, I just need to make the words for the shadow hud and done.

I fixed the error on bungie's bitmap that made the overshield thing drain weird.

TBh, it wouldn't be hard to run some bitmaps through a filter in PS or gimp to see what they look like with normals. Wouldn't be that time consuming just to see what it looks like.

I don't understand what's so hard to understand about "we have our own vision".
We're not about "in your face" graphical updates. We're all about well thought out level design.

And we like the classical theme we've been using in Ep1 and are further pursueing in Ep2.

So yeah, no more CMT advertisement in here. We won't be using any of their tags, we won't be using OS except for perhaps some very basic post-processing abilities such as motion blur, bloom or Anti-Aliasing (and even that is doubtful).

Alright so if anyone who's decent at texturing would like to have a go at enhancing the Shadow's texture while still keeping a "classic" feeling to it, please don't hesitate to contact us!

- use CMT tags
- remove the shadow
- add covenant bunnies
