Wow, more news...Well Icedragon is working on the Machinima's Website, so that will be great when it gets done, but unfourtunately that means he's juggleing map making and web designing. Slashrat just got word that He's going to have to wait to March or April to get a sattalite that's not loaded down with too many people. So for now He'll just use his friend's internet connection. I, on the other hand still dont have acess to xfire, but I'm working on a new theory, and i'll find out the results when ever IceDragon gets online. I belive all of ya'll recruits have gotten your copy of the script, though I know there are more recruits that are going to be voice actors, so SEND ME YOUR AUDITIONS!

Here's a friendly update, since there hasn't been much activity in this topic lately. Hailstorm and I managed to get his xfire working again. He had installed a "multi-IM" plugin that once installed must be used to open xfire. Of course, he didn't know that, and uninstalled it. Therefore xfire was always looking for a nonexistant plugin that then prevented him from logging in. As for the series itself, it's still on its slow, lumbering path to some sort of filming. Ice has sealed about 1/4 of the North Galeton map, and two nights ago we discussed the construction of some highway overpasses and tunnels to give the area more character. In the meanwhile I've been experimenting with more animation techniques. For quite a while I've been searching for the 3ds max equivalent of what Laird used in Lightwave to make "Halo:Unyeilding": Independent vehicle paths. If you look at the Dust to Dust trailer in the Halo Movies section, you'll see that the fleet moves as one entity, with no variation, so it looks very artificial. A week and a half ago I found it- crowd control. Now I can simply add more "characters", i.e. banshees, and tell them to follow an invisible object. They create their own paths, which makes my life a whole lot easier. In the process I've managed to create decent-looking clouds for rendering that don't kill my small amount of ram. Our pride and joy at the moment is an overhead fly-by of the mothership with reflections, engine flares, and sound effects included. Hopefully we can complete the map and get the first episode out. Here's to luck. -Siliconmaster482

Wow- thanks. Now the trick is to see whether the actual movies will be as good as the scripts. It's as they say- you film a movie three times- once in the script, once when you film it, and once when you edit it. We've gone through one third of our process. The other two are yet to be completed. If Ice can complete the primary set for the first few episodes, we can get started.

<bad slang>Yo, what up</bad slang> So... I, "God", as dubbed by my freinds in A2A, am here to announce more good news! IceDragon has definately done his fair share of work in Dust to Dust, and has told us that he will have the filming version of North Galeton by this to next weekend. Also, he has permanently put his site "The Back Door" online. The layout is near final, and as I speak he is sleeping, but when he wakes up, he will start work on adding a forum. So, enjoy this sneak peak. http://www.thebackdoor.byethost9.com/Index.html

To add to Hailstorm's update, I have a few pictures of North Galeton that Ice has graciously allowed me to post publicly. The map is nearly completed in 3ds max, so please forgive the texture errors, badly mapped tiling, and lack of a skybox. Once this is completed, which it nearly is, we can finally get the ball rolling and start filming! :D

11 members! : D. Things are coming along nicely at The Back Door. With the newest member we have been offered a team speak server for free. We will plan to use it during filming for easier communication. Adding to that, we also have a dedicated server which will be running with -A2A- maps. I've only requested 8 spaces on the server so far, but it’s guarantied no lag past 16 people. I'm currently working on a new character list so new recruits know what parts have or have not been taken, but they are going fast.

Hey everyone- Time for a little update.
Our site has recently changed designs yet again, in further attempts to find a neat, easy-to-navigate layout. Any comments are appreciated, and suggestions are always welcomed.
On the topic of the series itself, life has been obnoxiously busy for myself and a few other members of the team lately, so we haven't been able to really work on filming for a month. However, progress has made leaps and bounds in regard to set construction and render experimentation. The city map consisting of North Galeton is essentially finished, thanks to the dedicated labor of IceDragon. A very cool model of the space station has been modeled, and at the moment we are experimenting with various concepts of the interior.
Within a week or two some real voice acting should begin with some of the "local" (for me) actors so that they have a chance to play off one another in person. Those finalized audio files will be sent to voice actors who need to interact with those main characters so that they have an exact feel for who they're talking toHopefully this will result in realistic conversations, and avoid the all-to-often disjoint between characters.
Stay tuned for more news- with any luck the series will get its legs under it and take off soon. :D
