oh wowww you can read the box!! thats a decent computer but to really tell if its gonna be any good i need the RAM clock speeds, and more advanced info about your motherboard, not just the basic specs that everyone knows. and dont throw around the 1TB like its impressive, those drives are less than $50 now and if you keep a clean and organized computer you dont need anywhere near that much capacity
also Advancebo please dont just throw things out there with absolutely no backing.. id love to hear some reasons behind your opinion though.
my build:
Motherboard: Asus Rampage III Extreme, LGA1366, Intel X58 chipset, 7x 3.0gb/s SATA + 2x 6.0gb/s SATA ports, RC Bluetooth (to monitor renders and system status from my BB)
Processor: Intel i7 980X - 3.33Ghz stock, OC'd to ~4.2, 6.4GT/s, Six core (12 processing threads), 12MB L3 Cache
Memory: 12GB DDR3 tripple channel 2000Mhz RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 295 w/ 1792MB dedicated graphics DDR3 ram
Storage: 120GB @ 10000rpm (3Gb/s disk write speed), 250GB @ 7200 rpm

if you really knew what you were buying you would know more about your system. i build mine myself because i can usually get a faster computer for a lower price.
again advanebo give me some reasons!! i could just say Dell's are all S*** but i would be wrong until i told you why!
also you should know that Asus is a hardware manufacturer while Dell, HP, Sony and Alienware all just buy the hardware, put them in cases to make packages, and then sell them with their unique brand name.

Worked on the shotgun had to move it here because I messed it up and put it in biped WIP (I have no idea why) Anyway I made it so it is like an HMG that fires shotgun shells. Working on a foregrip and a chain. Also flipped it so it isn't leftie.

No need for it to fire shotgun shells, it's already capable of mowing people down at a short or long distance.

PIC3 PIC4 PIC1 PIC2
Also flipped it so it isn't leftie. Add proper smoothing to the stock and it will look much better. the front half is smoothed and the back half isn't No need to quote pics. the back is messed up ATM because I was doing some stuff and was unable to fix it so I will do what I can to smooth that out but I will just do that later. Also I only have today and tomorrow to get it ready for in-game s I will need someone to animate it (probably AGL) and someone to get it in-game. I tried but I guess you don't export to .jms or something. or you don't do model first. I don't know. I just was unable to put it through tool. (Tuts would be helpful if you have any useful ones) It has 2,294 polys and 4,877 tris at the moment.

There needs to be more room between the grip and the trigger guard. Theres no way anyone could get their fingers in there. Also, if its fed through a box/belt set up. why have the huge tube magazine?

Edited by Advancebo on Nov 15, 2010 at 08:18 PM Claiming Dell and Alienware (which is technically one) > Asus is like saying a Ford Pinto > Pagani Zonda. EDIT: Poop. jumped the gun, everyone went back on-topic. As for the weapon above, it could used better smoothing on the stock, and the for-grip looks like it could be slimmed down and moved back a tad, that weapon looks heavy and having your arm way out there wouldn't help with lugging it around. chuckluck was off topic and you are off topic, and what is worse is that you know you are off topic because I specifically instructed everyone to stay on topic eight posts before chuckluck went off topic. Stay on topic.

I like most of the weapon models here, but how about we see them ingame *Gasp* The reason I don't have the Chain-gun shotgun in-game is because I don't know how to export it correctly. I tried exporting to .jms then using the model function in tool but that didn't work (and BTW I DID have it textured [somewhat] before trying to in-game it) If anyone has help please do.

The problem is I only have a couple of hours to do that and I don't know how. I have never put a GBX in-game only BSP's and even then I have only done one or two correctly. I tried exporting to jms like a BSP but apparently that isn't how you are supposed to do it... Also all tool had to say on the subject was this: 11.14.10 14:36:52 tool pc 01.00.00.0609 ---------------------------------------------- 11.14.10 14:36:52 reference function: _write_to_error_file 11.14.10 14:36:52 reference address: 42ca20 11.14.10 14:36:52 Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'

if you used a skin modifier to add vertex weights it wont work unless you use bluestreak.. if you want to use the blitzkrieg plugin you have to separate objects and attach them to nodes rather than linking (weighing) vertices to nodes

I have no idea how. If you could tell/show me how then that would be helpful. Also if you could get on xfire today and ell me that would be nice. As I have a full hour or so left to get it ready before I need someone else to do it some help would be nice.
