Judging by the perspective, its too thin.

well its not suppose to be too thick either

make it thick enough to have a grip on it without cutting yourself, and that it fits bullets though

The top handle looks kinda strange. Make the handle a bit wider.

Just make the middle area a bit thicker and it'll look alot better. Other than that it looks pretty decent imo.

Look at your references closer. Not saying it has to be exact, but at least make it ascetically pleasing. plus you put too much detail into parts of the gun that will never been seen, i.e. stock and magazine.

This Bubble Shield is still a wip, i'm working on it at this very moment.



The only thing that needs to be fixed is the edges, it needs to have sharp corners for the edges that are deeper so the light bends off more.

A bubble shield isnt a weapon.

it's equipment
a power drainer is also not a weapon, yet it can kill someone.
definition of a weapon is fuxes in halo's context, even a warthog can be a weapon.
using it as a bullet mirror also makes it a weapon, everything is a weapon if it's used in some way.
even logic is a weapon.

unless there are more specific topics regarding equipment there is no reason to refrain from posting in this topic rather than wasting space for the few equipment there is

I tryed to smooth the whole thing, turned out bad. The disortation effect was crazy and looked bad. And there is only one layer. Bed a lot of other effects as well.

I know the effects, a particle emmitter and the lens flare for the glow aswell as an optional coloured distortion field by editing the rastarizer, last thing is just theoretically, i havnt heavily modded it yet, just minor colour changes.
Oh and ofcourse a small dynamic light ofcourse for colouring the enviroment a tad, athmospheric effect.

Well I was thinking about what hunter said, getting a smoothing on this is ugh, but halo 3 got that sorta squisish feeling to the surface, so yea i added alot more poly's to get smoothing look meh.

what do you guys think? any more crap I should duct tape on?

edit: I removed the scope. I just dont much care for it.

i like the bubble shield (microsoft iz gay?:O),but the FAMAS needs a better sword and duck tape.

You can vaguely see a shield device in the center emitting particles, but anyways only thing left is the lens flare, it doesnt work for me =/

lol, i actually thought that was H3 for a mo. Mind you, i don't have H3, so i don't really know what much looks like.
E: what's wrong with the lens flare? for my mine, i just attached it to a light which was attached to the mine.
