The best is FRAPs for ingame. Sure it costs money but its in good quality. The reason a recorder lags your coumputer is because it cant handle it. It's not fast enough.

dude i use fraps it's ok. if you have x-fire like the millions of gamers out there, you'd know that it has a bulit in recorder and it's good. unlike fraps you don't need to pay for it and you can record for as long as you want unlike the unpaid verison of fraps. basically fraps was good till x-fire came out with it.
