Go to settings and "click" on Reclaimer, it will pull down a menu.

Just a note on the batch extractor, is that it will put the data in the folder that is in the settings, even when you have window pop up to ask you where you want the data put in.


Also just an fyi out there, the program can extract some Halo 5 campaign/warzone assets from the 'Halo 5 local server' .map files. So far it has been able to extract models, but not any of the textures as they seem to be different from the ones in Halo 5 Forge.

From a personal side request, when you have time to look more into H2A, it would be appreciated. There are unique files and sceneries/bsp in there.

Would there be a way to have an optional "experimental" export option for the models that come out skewed? I imagine that there are some of use that wouldn't mind fixing things like that manually.

Don't think it was announce yet, but I believe several new versions have been release.

It sounds like Halo 1 and 2 Anniversary have some challenges in them. Out of curiosity, what is the biggest challenge with adding in support from them. The files with in them seem very different compared the .map formats that have been used in the past.

Downloaded the latest version of Reclaimer (1.5.244) and getting the "cannot be opened as a map. It is invalid or unsupported." on all the files that open normally from MCC. Xbox .map files seem to open normally.

Played around with it more, AMF importer is working fine. I found issue in the exportation of Halo Reach MCC files.

Had 2 issues with the the generic spartan tag when being pulled from .map files from MCC Reach.

-Skin data not accurate/messed up

-Detail maps are not tiled (1,1 instead of 10,10 or 11,11)

That would explain it. It seems the model's aren't too off from what are in the game itself and the textures look interchangeable.

Am I to assume that as of now, those Textures and models that are used for the Menu, are located in the "MCC-WindowsNoEditor.pak" file or some other ".pak" file that is currently inaccessible.

Update

Pulled the models from the Menu, and it looks like the models are identical from the game models, vertex by vertex. Looks to be just be a new shader and texture

Bug Found
The current AMF importer for 3DS max isn't importing the tiling settings for the detail maps.

Glad to see the community and efforts being revived. Some observations with the Halo Reach MCC.

Reclaimer seems to be extracting the textures at the legacy resolution.

Spartan_armor_diff exports at 1042x1024

Using NinjaRipperto extract the newer textures show the same file at a higher: 2048x2048 resolution.

Additionally it would seem that there are additional maps that would belong to PBR shader system, such as metal texture.

I initially expect that these additional maps may be located in another file like how HCE:MCC and H2A have done things, BUT I do notice that the Halo Reach .MAP files are good deal larger then the original Xbox versions.

Thank You so much for the BSP extraction ability. Been able to import alof of Halo 3 into MAX, been having trouble with Halo 4 (not too surprisingly), anyone else having this problem.

Hey, don't know if its been mention but I got partial/better extraction of the UNSC Infinity using
the dlc01_engine.map from the 2nd half of Spartan Ops.

any updates going on with Adjutant, haven't heard much in awhile.

Still looking forward to the day that we will able to extract the Multiplayer Spartan.

In the .emf format I have been able to just extract the bones, as mention above. When I tried an .obj export, the vertices just came out all weird and random in a giant cube. I have found some other models that didn't extract as well, with the common theme that they were models with higher poly count.

Installed TDog's plugins.

1. Open Adjutant:
2. -->New-->select a Halo Reach .map
3.--->Open--> select Halo 4 .map
4. You'll get an error, select "continue"
5.) ---> reload

After the reload, the map will open and you are able to extract some/most models and bitm textures.

I've been playing around with TDog's Halo 4 plugins and I get an error with certain models (Multiplayer Spartan, UNSC Infinity)


"Loading Failed: Source array was not long enough. Check srcIndex and length, and the array's lower bounds."


Is this error something with the plugin or something with my system?

Normally I just monitor these forum boards for 3d models for machinima, but I really would love to see an update on these extractions, even if it is just model release at a time.
