Wow, OpenSauce is awesomesauce. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.
I'll get Anniversary Edition when it's in the bargain bin. And honestly, I don't think that's too far away. I very rarely buy games at launch. Especially Halo games. Ever since Halo 2 which was a massive letdown I've become less hyped about the series, although Halo 3 was good.
The major gripe about Anniversary Edition in my eyes is the multiplayer. I don't want all the extra Reach stuff like armour abilities and assassinations. To hell with that. It's meant to be a remake. They made up some excuse about technical limitations making Live play with the original engine impossible. That's rubbish. They have the source code. I used to play Halo 1 on Xbox via Xbox Connect and XLink Kai and it worked fine.
As for single player, I'll be happy to play it when I get it at the £10-15 mark, but I'll probably end up switching to the classic graphics eventually. I think they made the new graphics too vibrant. Garish with too much contrast.
Hi, I was wondering if anybody ever found a way to increase the maps capacity to be greater than ten? This would be useful if somebody wanted to create a new campaign that consists of more than ten maps. (Perhaps one or two maps used for narrative purposes like in Halo 2/3.)
Since I've seen a number of CE maps ported to it (including a couple of single player), it would also be cool to see something like this on the Xbox.
I ask this because I'd like to start creating single player maps eventually, although since I'm new to the mapping scene it would be wise to create a couple of multiplayer maps first.
Thanks!
