Lol, sorry my bad again, as you can tell i know pretty much nothing about scripting. Okay, Jawa. If i take out the section that says "camera_set_first_person" will it make it so the camera is in third person or just glitch out the script and make it stop working? The reason i ask is because you can't see the actual model of the warthog, Hog1, and i was thinking that's why.

Here are some camera commands, use them in scripts or type 'em into the console.

(camera_set <cutscene_camera_point> <short>)
moves the camera to the specified camera point over the specified number of
ticks.

(camera_set_first_person <unit>)
makes the scripted camera follow a unit (as if you're using it).

(camera_set_dead <unit>)
makes the scripted camera zoom out around a unit as if it were dead.

Thank you. That, sort of, worked. The problem is that the camera won't turn on anything, it floats above the object i'm possessing but doesn't turn to face the direction i am. Is there any way to make it turn?

It would take a bit of work but you could attach a tiny invisible vehicle to the players head and then use camera_set_first_person with that vehicle. If done right I believe you could have a third person camera that moved with your character as if it where the first person.

Why don't you just watch the xfire video I have?.. (yes, I spent most of my time in a vehicle, but you can see it happens where ever) And its fairly easy, open your character's gbxmodel, duplicate the head marker, name it driver or whatever you want and move it a few feet back. Back in the biped, make the seat, set the camera marker to be head (so the camera starts at your head) have the biped that sits in this seat some monitor copy, ai_attach him a brain, ai_look_at_object so he looks at your biped. camera_set_first_person on the monitor. He always faces where your facing, since hes behind where your head is, and his field of vision starts where your head marker is. Only thing, looking angles are constrainted to head based animations (and those suck, watch my old xfire video)

This does not work because if you use (camera_set_first_person <>) on an attached object, it puts the camera on the origin of the parent. If I remember correctly, it also hides the parent and child alike.

Well that is disappointing, but good to know for future reference. I'll have to test out something like that some time.

Okay, kirby. i just watched your video, i couldn't before because it came up with an error. I don't quite understand what you're talking about. I understand that what you're saying is that there is a version of the monitor attached to your head that you are controlling and that is where your camera is set, this allows you to see your bipeds model\shadow. what i don't get, however. Is the scripting portion. I understand nothing, for the most part, about scripting. I wouldn't even know where to begin, or how to learn because i'm just that bad at it. Lol. Sorry for being such a noob.

I could try by looking at what you said to find the script commands to throw in, but i doubt i'll get much further then that. I'll start by looking for the commands, then go to figuring out what type of script to make it, then go to figure out what order to put them in. All i ask is that no one gives me instruction until i ask for it, like wait to tell me what script type to make it until i have all but given up and asked.
