Looking through this thread, i saw a point where SeL was telling gonzo about something like huge vehicles and noobishnes....I laugh at this because SeL apparently loves (one of) the biggest, most crazy vehicle i've ever seen

For those of you who are wondering, it'd be That Kraken Thing that Kinkilla made

Sorry about your bandwidth.

















Right now the plan is more to keep this lighting, because I absolutely love it to pieces, and outfit the player bipeds when they get completed with dynamic lights, and a higher than normal specular so that they're significantly easier to pick out from the environment at a distance, before they start shooting.

It probably hardly uses any extra FPS. As long as you have something equal to or better than the NVIDIA 9500 GT, you should be fine. (That's the graphics card I have and I get a constant 60FPS on 1680x1050 vidmode. On Halo's actual max resolution, I get over 130 :P)

I don't see why it would perform significantly worse than the other builds, the lightmap resolution is the same, and the sky is nothing but bitmaps. Also yes I did test it out on the client, how do you think I got those pictures :?

Actually there is a concept. Instead of clouds moving around in a sky, maybe you could have cruisers that move.

Don't add cruisers.

Add Assault Carriers. Way cooler. Although, it looks like ur using Assault Carriers anyway. Just make them move. Not carriers. Carriers suck compared to them.

Also, what kind of weapons will we be seeing? Hopefully ones that will fit witht his type, like shotties and ARs.

Also, if Gonzo comes to troll this thread again, I would just like to tell him that even though he probably did steal the name off your map, the name fits this much more. Plus, he seems to be making a lot more progress, and he is making it look NICE. He is putting work into this thing. Lots. So, if you come back here, remember this:He's better than you.

But imo, I wouldn't use the floor texture for the ceiling as well, and I would also scale it down.

I suggest to edit the floor texture (hue/saturation, whatever makes it look nice) and make a different variant with less bump on the ceiling. The map looks awesome.

I meant scale the floor texture down a bit by the way, not the actual model lol :P
