While the Covenant possess a roughly identical counterpart to match almost any weapon in the UNSC arsenal, I notice that they seem to be lacking a faction-specific medkit design. While Covenant-themed maps are rather uncommon, a counterpart to the Human medical kit would be incredibly useful for such projects. So if anyone would be willing to try it out, some screenshots would be nice.

Humans are pansies and want to heal. Covenant go home and say. "Damn look at this sweet battle scar guys! I almost bled out on this one."
Go through the game s and see which race talks about honor the most. I am sure it is going to be the covenant. There is a reason a warrior race does not have doctors or med packs.

Actually only the elites care about honour. Brutes are backstabbers. Grunts are... grunts, nuff said. Jackals are cowards who hide behind their shield or else stay way out of the battlefield and snipe you.
But yes, Elites probably wouldn't use Health Packs.

Yeah. Grunts pretty much covered it. But despite the canonical status of such equipment, it's mostly a gameplay element. To be used in places where a player might need a quick health boost, while not looking too out of place.

Who says they don't, lol. I'm pretty damn sure they have medical technology that they use. If they don't, then that's not honor because you can't live through a severe injury no matter how well "trained" you are. It has nothing to do with your state of mind, only your biology, which you really shouldn't be proud of because you haven't accomplished anything. You probably don't see them using it in the games, but you don't exactly see marines using health packs either.. [beige] Edited by ASP_GRUNTS on Nov 13, 2010 at 06:46 PM Grunts, the elites DO have medical technology, but they prefer not to use it as it "strips" them of their honor. They have two hearts FYI, so they can live through serious injuries aswell.

Interesting, but it doesn't really have that "Covenant" feel to it. But considering there haven't been any previous examples of Covenant medical technology, I'm not exactly sure what to suggest. Perhaps scale a Covie Supply Crate down to Medkit size? Maybe make it glow a bit, etc. Quote: --- Original message by: 032 Mendicant Bias Grunts, the elites DO have medical technology, but they prefer not to use it as it "strips" them of their honor. These health packs are simply supposed to look as if they're pieces of Covenant equipment. Regardless of whether or not they would be utilized by the Elites is irellevant. I'm sure Blue Team won't have a problem with using them. Edited by Echo77 on Nov 14, 2010 at 01:52 PM

If I were to do it, I would just make the regular overshield model with a + in the middle symbolizing medical, and maybe make it have 8 sides or something. It would fit in beautifully with the Halo 1 tagset.

Maybe with a flat-topped pyramid design, similar to CMT's speed-boost powerup.

Sorry, but, epic fail. You need to break away from box modeling soon. Your bsps and your models keep coming from boxes, it's getting to be old now. Edited by MoooseGuy on Nov 14, 2010 at 04:49 PM

Edited by MoooseGuy on Nov 14, 2010 at 04:49 PM Um, no he doesn't. I box model everything that isn't organic. He just needs to know when and when not to use the technique. Edited by ASP_GRUNTS on Nov 14, 2010 at 04:53 PM I guess we just differ on our methods. But personally, I never create any primitives during modeling, except if i need to use part of a cylinder for a curve. Edited by MoooseGuy on Nov 14, 2010 at 04:55 PM

Just make it a powerup, that way it can only be used once, and you can place them at logical places. i meant in appearance like the model for evade when it's placed in forge, SIR
