dang. thats one thing i hate about the halo ce mapping community, they keep all the goodies for themselves, they hardly even share anything with the halo ce players. so far the only maps i like at all are h3 sandtrap, and firefight portent. other than that halo ce is a waste of time Edited by StatutoryTrOy on Jul 14, 2010 at 07:05 PM

Yeah CE is seriously 10 years ago! I guess they think they are cool cause they can get certain things to work in CE, that the rest of the Halo community for the other titles can't. In my opinion half those things are either half-assed or just plain bad. I'm sorry, but no matter how good you are with tags and crap for CE, you can't make things from H3 and up look as good as they should. It brings to mind something my father always told me, "You can't dress up a turd". And the whole firefight thing they did is god awful! I too, am disgusted with how they take resources from Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, Reach Beta and then inject into Halo 1. but Kills Alone, your hornet doesn't count since it's just bitmaps.
Don't they realize that it can degrade quality? because as newer games, they become dependent on newer tags, which do not exist in older builds of Halo.
Halo 1 can't even perfectly imitate Halo 2 maps properly, why bother trying? Halo 1 can't even imitate Halo 3 maps at all. Edited by Shock120 on Jul 15, 2010 at 12:03 PM

I keep saying how we want to rip content which only exists in Halo 2 only and inject into Halo 2 only. But it seems to be to hard for them.

Hey Shock, when you asked me to start the phmo, and stuff for tags, what did you mean by tht? Is there a certain set of tags I should be trying to re-create which are currently missing? I'll post the thing in zip form, and I'll make a txt which shows which tags are missing k? also, we should wait for Grimdoomer to release a beta of Mutation with completed tag layouts =D because there's some inconsistencies with entity's filled out plugins, and no one is bothered to fix that. I did a comparison for the biped models from halo 2 xbox with Halo 2 Vista. The scale is exactly 100 times the scale of Halo 2 xbox. Now, the part I'm not sure about is the coll and phmo for all items in the game. Would the vertices, edges faces etc... be the same values, or would we have to multiply the values from the xbox version by 100, and use those values for the new phmo and coll tags?

there is a mongoose model on this site if anyone knows how to change the model on a vehicle, also @shock/twin what would fixing the messed up tags in halo 2 do?
@twin did my max file for sword base (rough layout for main area) go through? i dropped it in the reach conversion, document.
