I just need to know what program I will need to put a battle rifle in a level like b40 or death island.
Oh and maybe how to put an elite into a multi player level like damnation.

Actually it was the correct answer to what you were asking. HEK is the program set you use to make/edit maps. However, from your reply it is obvious that you were not asking the right question. Your misplaced annoyance aside, the question is not what program to use, which he answered correctly, but HOW. The answer to that can be found by looking here:

As you are the moderator, dennis, and I mean no disrespect, I'm afraid that's not entirely true. Hek is a series of programs not just 1 program, which is where I meant "That's not what I am asking."
In truth I do not know exactly how to use all of the programs, such as "sapien" which is just a waste of my time <download time> and I find it very useless. I might add calling me stupid as I ASSUME is what you meant by "Also search will make your brain expand." I have used the search and not interested in what I see mainly because I have no interest in making maps. Just putting specific things into maps for my own fun.

So if you aren't going to use Sapien, then what will you use???? As far as I know, that is the only program I know of that you can place weapons in a map, in less you use Sparkedit, I tried it ounce, but Sapien is much better. Honestly, I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about.

if you want to put a BR in an existing map you must use HEK+ to extract the .scenario open it in sapien and place the weapons there. or open it in guerrilla and put it in the starting equipment.

Then maybe you didn't understand my question. As it is you people are quite irritating. If you want to continue to refer to me as "stupid" then whatever. But NOW that I have the information I asked. I guess any further information as useless, seeing as there are better places to go for help, I'll just figure it out on my own.

We didn't say you are stupid, just because you can't use HEK, it doesn't mean you are stupid, do you think everyone in the world knows how to make a Halo map?? If they don't, does it make them stupid??? Everyone was a noob one day, that is fine, but when someone tries to give you advice, in less they are being extremely disrespectful, you shouldn't get mad.

And also, you were asking an impossible question, there is no one program, you would have to extract it with HEK+ (different than HEK) and add it with Sapien, add it to globals with Gurrilla, and use tool to build a cache file, definatly not one program.

I was not referring to you corndogman. by the time I submitted that post yours was already there.
And I was ot searching for 1 program and I'm sorry if it sounded that way. But from what I understood you were only listening to 1/2 of what I said, making "you people" irritating. Last, Why didn't you just say so?

Yes, we weren't "mad" at you or anything, but it is just when you probably have no idea what you are doing, and when we try to help and you deny that we are right, it kinda irritates me. He did "just say so".

What do you mean 1/2 what you said? Mabye you need to be more discriptive, not us. I just want you to realize we are just trying to help. Also, you posted this in the wrong forum.

Yeah I noticed it was the wrong forum, and honestly if dennis wants it to happen I'll move it. But about this hek plus, I think its the most unstable program ever... I open it and I go to tools after I open the map and then it just freezes...It's awful.

Yeah, it has frozen a few times, but you don't have to have that adittude about everything, if you don't like it, then I would like to see you make something near as good as it. For now, and probably forever, it is all we have.

It might be vista blocking it. And another thing <more detail about the freezes> these little windows try to open then it takes forever then nothing happens..lol. Ah and again it freezes, is there any way to help it out?

It might just be Vista. Personally, I'm no big fan of Microsft (actually, not a fan all) except for Halo, Xbox, and stuff like that, but I think Windows isn't that great. I mean it is good, but you can get tons of operating systems that are free that are just as good if not better. (example: Ubuntu Linux)

It just might be, for instance, devtrainers and such dont work for halo <anymore> and before I had xp. It would make sense that some utilities won't work..I guess I will have to stick with the new editor for h2v when I get it...

If you want to edit or create maps then you will have to learn or else you will not be able to edit or create maps.

Actually if I wanted to call you stupid I would do so directly, You are the one who thinks you are stupid. No me. I am just telling you that using search will make your brain expand. Which means you will learn things by using the search feature. If you fail to learn things then it is entirely possible that you might indeed be stupid. Only time will tell. I am betting you will learn things though.

There is no difference in the two objectives, you still have to learn how to use the tools in order to edit/make maps.

http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=2620 - this is what you will need.

these are the .scenario files used in sapien. you open these in guerrilla if you want to put the BR in your starting equipment. if you want to put them in the map, open sapien and place them in there. you probably dont know how to do that anyways, so here is a good tutorial: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=2664 just skipp past the modeling part, and go to where he opens up guerrilla.
